As a teacher, it was amazing to see my students experiencing the German, Austrian and Swiss Cultures. It's hard to pick one or two specific memories, BUT....
"THE CHEESE" is a pretty good one. One of the travelers looked at our dinner plates and asked what an pile of shredded "off-white" substance could be..I proclaimed "CHEESE", put the entire pile in my mouth--only to discover that it was HORSERADISH---OUCH!
One day really sticks out in my mind: The day we visited Dachau- a concentration camp in Germany-followed by a visit to the Castle Neuschwanstein with Benjamin, the Castle Tour Guide.
